Timothy Joseph “Ted” McInerney, age 91 of Danbury, died Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Bethel Health Care. He was the husband of Mildred (Chervincky) McInerney.

He was born in Danbury, CT August 20, 1925, son of the late John and Julia (O’Keefe) McInerney. He served with the Marines during WWII and retired from the Local 210 Carpenters Union after 40 years of service.

In addition to his wife of 59 years, he is survived by his son: Timothy McInerney and his wife Lorraine of Oxford, CT; grandson: Timothy R. McInerney of Oxford; sister: Maureen Sibbitt of Danbury; brother: Terry McInerney of Danbury as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 3 brothers: John, Donald and Robert McInerney and sister: Ann McInerney.

The family will receive friends at the Hull Funeral Home, 60 Division St., Danbury, Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, Danbury, Thursday at 10:00 AM. Burial with military honors will follow the mass at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Danbury.
