Jon was a friend and someone I worked with day in day out in some less than nice places. He was a true professional that you could count on with your life. I hope that his Family knows that no matter what he loved you. Blue Skies ahead Jon, see ya at the rally point!

Gary, Debra, Lynsie, and Adam,
You all are in my prayers and constant thoughts. May God comfort you today and in the days to come. Jonny had the biggest heart and I feel so blessed to have had him be a part of my life. He taught me so much in our time together and the greatest lesson was how to love unconditionally. He will forever be in my heart. He is at peace now, no more pain. All of my love to each of you.

Our hearts go out to all of you. Even though I only knew Jonathan briefly, I got the sense that he took great pride in his work, while also being humble about it. In this time of sorrow, mixed with gratitude for the sheer joy of Jonathan's life, please know we are with you.

My first encounter with Jon was in English class in 5th grade. He was the kid assigned to the seat directly in front of me, with his desk facing me. I was the new kid on the block and here I was face to face with this spiky haired boy who made me nervous. He seemed popular, funny, smart, all those things I was not....The teacher introduced me to the class and I finally looked up at Jon. We made eye contact and I slowly felt my anxiety slip away. He smiled at me and asked me my name. We had a class lesson on racism and he whispered to me "that's bad to treat others differently, we shouldn't do that." All these decades later, for some reason his words still resonate with me. I still remember him as that sweet sensitive soul, that kind little boy that stood up for me when I had no voice of my own in the new school. I'll miss Jon. RIP.
