William ‘Bill’ Ellis age 80 of Bethel, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Bethel Health
Care.
He was the husband of the late Barbarajean (Stagl) Ellis.
Bill was born July 26, 1936 in Georgetown, CT, a son of the late Raymond T. and Marie Anna
(Meyers) Ellis.
He owned and operated Ellis & Sons Lawn Service in Bethel for many decades and took great
pride in pleasing his customers with his beautiful flower gardens in the local community.
Bill is survived by three sons, John Lennon of Bethel, Nick Ellis (wife Kathy) of Bethel and
Joseph Ellis of Maiden, NC; two daughters, Deborah Hoyt of Waterbury and Jennifer Fernandes
(husband Francisco) of Bethel; his brother Bob Ellis of Lincolnton, NC; Daughter-in-law Karen
Ellis of Wilton, NY; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was pre-deceased by a
son William Ellis and a brother Alfred Tracy.
Funeral service will be held in the Bethel Funeral Home 215 Greenwood Ave., Bethel, on
Wednesday October 26, 2016 at 11:00 am. Family will receive at the Bethel Funeral Home
Tuesday October 25, 2016 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM
