Thomas Ira Mead Jr., age 47 of Southbury, CT died unexpectedly on Friday July 7, 2017 in Torrington, CT.

Tom was born July 5, 1970 in Norwalk, CT, a son of Linda (Sonntag) Mead and the late Thomas I. Mead Sr. He has owned and operated Tom Mead Refuse Company, Newtown, CT for over 20 years.

In addition to his mother, Tom is survived by two brothers: William and Robert Mead, a niece: Emily Mead and two nephews: Ryland and Reece Mead.

Family will receive friends in the Hull Funeral Home 60 Division ST, Danbury on Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St Peter Church, Danbury on Wednesday morning at 10:30 am. Burial will be in ST Mary Cemetery, Bethel.
