Theresa “Terry” Ann (Edge) Morrissette, Passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Masonicare of Newtown. Theresa, wife of Claude Morrissette of Bethel CT, was born in Danbury CT May 9, 1939 to Robert and Katherine Davis Edge of Wilton. She was raised and attended schools in Wilton, CT. She graduated from Staples High School in Westport, CT.

Theresa was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to many. She served as past President of the Bethel chapter of AARP, was involved in several charities, and was a very dedicated member of her church.

Surviving are her husband Claude, daughters Colleen Avallone of Easton, Kerry Rivard and her husband Doug of Easton, a son James Morrissette and his wife Tina of Brookfield. A brother Thomas and his wife Sylvia Edge of Florida, sister Kathy Edge of Norwalk, grandchildren Jamie and Brent Avallone, Kyle and Shayne Rivard, Josh, Alex and Cameron Morrissette, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews. Theresa was pre deceased by her loving brother, Robert Edge, Jr.

A celebration of Theresa’s life will be held on Saturday, October 22nd at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 95 Greenwood Ave, Bethel CT 06801.

The family would especially like to thank her tireless caregivers at Masonicare for their excellent and compassionate care given to Theresa.
