James W. Reynolds, age 68, of New Milford, CT, passed away Tuesday July 26, 2016 in Danbury Hospital. He was the husband of Elizabeth “Betsy” (Hebda) Reynolds.

James was born April 22, 1948 in Danbury, CT, a son of the late Percy C. and Elizabeth J. (Wilcox) Reynolds Jr. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was a lifetime member of New Milford VFW post 1672. James was employed by the former Eagle Pencil Company and as a mechanic by Kimberly Clark in New Milford for 27 years retiring in 2004. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, NASCAR and reading.

In addition to his wife, James is survived by his sons Andrew Reynolds of Torrington, CT and James Reynolds of Florida, two brothers Clark Reynolds and his wife Cathy of Enfield, CT and Anthony Muffatti and his wife Karen of Bethel, CT, two sisters Sandra Muffatti of Florida and Lynn Potter and her husband Larry of New Milford, CT and several nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
