Dennis Richard Taylor, age 49, Danbury, CT died unexpectedly on June 13, 2016.

He was born on Oct. 20th, 1966 in Danbury, CT, son of Kathleen Keever Taylor of Sunset Beach, NC and the late Dennis Gilbert Taylor (USMC, KIA Viet Nam 1966). 

Dennis was known for his contagious grin, charm, and “don’t worry” attitude.  He graduated from Immaculate High School where he played football for the Mustangs.  He went on to serve in the United States Navy.  He enjoyed cooking, golf, and hiking.  He spent several happy years working at Walnut Hill Community Church in Bethel. 

Survivors include his mother: Kathleen and her life partner Jerry Carota of Sunset Beach, NC; uncles: Curtis (Margot) Taylor of Valley Falls, NY, Richard (Joanne) Keever of Brookfield, CT; Jerry, Gene, and William Doyon; aunts: Pamela Keever of Danbury, CT and Diane Piccolo of Shelton, CT. He is also survived by cousins: Christopher Dennis (Laura) Keever of West Hartford, CT, Christine Taylor Simoneau of Greenwich, NY, Curtis Taylor of Johnsonville; NY, Connie Taylor of Valley Falls, NY, Angie DeMauro, Rachel Batone of Shelton, CT, and several other cousins.

Graveside services only will take place on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Newtown Village Cemetery, 22 Elm Drive, Newtown, CT, where he will be buried alongside his father.  Following the service, friends and family will gather at My Place Restaurant, 8 Queen ST., Newtown.
