Catherine “Carol” McKay Rovegno, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Masonicare at Newtown at the age of 89. She was the widow of Louis J. Rovegno.

Catherine was born in Montreal, Canada, October 30, 1926, daughter of the late David and Grace Bell. She and her late husband Louis operated the Rowayton News Store in Rowayton, CT from 1948 to 1968. They moved to Bethel in 1976 and Catherine became a well known Realtor, until retiring in 2005. She was a graduate of the Graduate Realtor Institute classes and a member of the National Association of Realtors.

She is survived by her daughter: Katherine Sanza and her husband John of Charlottesville, VA; her grandchildren: Christian Evans of Wallingford, CT, Heather Kimball and her husband Robert of Southbury, CT and four beloved Great Grandchildren: Austin, Kyle, Brittni and Samantha.

The funeral will be conducted from the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Ave., Bethel, Monday morning at 9:30 to a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Mary Church, 26 Dodgingtown Rd., Bethel, Monday at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Bethel.

The family will receive friends at the Bethel Funeral Home, during the hour preceding the procession to church from 8:30 to 9:30.
