Rosalia (Giambalvo) Calandrino

Rosalia Calandrino who was born 9/21/24 in Santa Margherita Sicily, passed away peacefully  9/20/20 ; the day before her 96th birthday.  Her husband Giuseppe predeceased her in 2002.  They raised their children in Sicily Italy and Brooklyn NY.  Their later years were lived in Johnston RI, Washingtonville NY and Bethel CT.

This sweet, loving woman will be missed by her family:  son and wife Tony & Gail Calandrino of Bethel CT; daughter Eva Calandrino of FL; daughter and husband Josephine & Richard Callipari of Yorktown NY;  8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; sister Lena in Sicily; nieces and nephews in Sicily and the US; and the so many hearts she has touched during her life.

We will love you always. Rest in peace Mama.

The family will receive friends at the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Ave., Bethel, Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary Church, Washingtonville, NY, Wednesday at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow the Mass in St. Mary Cemetery, Washingtonville, NY.
