Robert William Ritch, age 79 of Bethel, CT died Saturday, July 3, 2021 at his home in Bethel. He was the husband of Carole Ann (Robinson) Ritch.
He was born in Norwalk, CT, January 29, 1942, son of the late William and Dorothy (Jerrett) Ritch. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War and had been a Bethel resident for over 50 years. He worked at Technipower in Norwalk in the late 60’s and later owned and operated R. W. Ritch Refuse Service in Wilton, which was previously owned by his father and later by his sons until it’s sale. After retirement, he drove a school bus in Easton for over 10 years. Bob worked for the Registrar of Voters in Bethel, on the Board of Trustees at The Bethel United Methodist Church with Jerry Shike and was President of the Bethel Cemetery Association for over 10 years.
A beloved husband, father and grandfather, in addition to his wife of 54 years, he is survived by 2 sons: Todd Ritch and his ex-wife Shirley, Mark Ritch; grandchildren: Maya Jillian Ritch and Kenna Mae Ritch.

The family will receive friends at the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Ave., Bethel, Tuesday, July 6, 2021, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Interment will be private.
