Neil Adam Hansen sadly passed on October 11th, 2023 at the age of 62.
Neil was born on April 16th, 1961 to June (Dethridge) Hansen and Carl Arthur Hansen in Danbury, CT. He attended and graduated from both Bethel High School in Bethel, CT, and Western Connecticut State University with a B.A in Journalism, and a minor in Graphic Arts. After college, Neil had written and edited various articles for books and magazines in the comic book industry. He also taught Cartooning Classes at various schools. Neil also edited Wally Woods THUNDER Agents volume 7 in 1984, and produced a tribute history of Dick Tracy which created a Newsstand deal, after that Neil worked for a magazine company in Ridgefield for 5 years before becoming ill to kidney failure.
Our brother was one of the bravest people we knew, even during severe bad health he was always strong and never gave up. Neil was the type that loved going to concerts, talking about music, trying new restaurants, helping his family and friends, and when he felt well, he enjoyed life to the fullest.
Neil is survived by his sisters: Susan H. Kelly (with her husband James Kelly and nephew Nicholas Kelly) of Danbury, CT, Lauren Hansen (with partner Tim Brady) of Danbury, CT and brother: Paul Hansen of Bethel, CT.
