Michael Sproviero Obituary

Michael L. Sproviero, age 86, formerly of Bethel died Thursday, April 8, 2021 in South Carolina. He was the husband of the late Vita Sproviero.

He was born in the Rovito, Italy (Region of Calabria), May 31, 1934, son of the late Salvatore and Christina (Gualtieri) Sproviero.

Michael was a loving family man, hard working business person, avid reader and proud American. After arriving from Italy in 1950 at the age of 16 and marrying Vita, the love of his life, Michael set out to provide for his family through investing in and managing real estate. Michael took every opportunity to teach and guide his children through life and business and took great pride in their accomplishments. When he was not working, you would find him in his vegetable garden caring for his cherished plants or taking a nap under a shade tree.

Michael will be sadly missed by his children Salvatore and Bonnie Sproviero; Cristina (Sproviero) and Augusto Septimio; Frank and Tina Sproviero; his grandchildren Andre & Tatiana Septimio and Michael A. Sproviero. He will also be missed by his extended family of sister-in-law’s, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the American Cancer Society https://www.cancer.org/.

Private services will be held at the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Ave., Bethel, CT. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bethel. To leave an on-line condolence, please visit hullfuneralservice.com
