Madeleine Linck Obituary

Madeleine Patricia Linck, 78, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 22, 2023, in Savannah, Georgia. She was surrounded by her loving family during her final moments. Madeleine's warm and compassionate nature endeared her to all who knew her, and her loss is deeply mourned by her family and friends.

Born on February 12, 1945, in Connecticut, Madeleine brought joy and happiness into the lives of those around her. She embodied the spirit of selflessness as she dedicated herself to creating a loving home for her family. Throughout her life, Madeleine held various roles that showcased her incredible talents. She worked for the Bethel Police Department in Connecticut and also served as a Sales Representative for American Greeting Cards. Additionally, she pursued her passion for photography while working as a sports photographer.

One of Madeleine's defining qualities was her genuine love for people. She had an innate ability to forge meaningful connections with others and was always excited to meet new people and embark on new adventures together. Her warm personality and welcoming nature made everyone feel valued and loved in her presence.

As a devoted grandmother, Madeleine cherished the time spent with her grandchildren. Her nurturing spirit shone through as she created lasting memories with them and embraced each moment they shared together. Family gatherings and quality time with loved ones brought immense joy to Madeleine's heart. Her remarkable ability to make those around her feel cherished will never be forgotten.

Madeleine's love extended beyond humans to include the animal companions that brightened her life. She formed deep bonds with her dogs Callie, as well as the late Reeses and Hershey. Their loyal companionship filled Madeleine's days with happiness, reminding us of the profound love she had for all creatures great and small.

Madeleine was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Robert Boardman Linck; her parents, James R. Meehan and Marie Madeleine Reynes Meehan; brother, Patrick Meehan; and her granddaughter, Kayla Kovatch.

In this time of sorrow, Madeleine's memory will be cherished by her surviving family members and loved ones. Her beloved children, son, Mr. Charles Linck, Jr. (Lisa) of New Fairfield, CT; daughter, Mrs. Michelle Kovatch (John) of Danbury, CT; daughter, Mrs. Barbara Durfee (William) of Chambersburg, PA; daughter, Mrs. Donna Archer (Raymond Lee) of Oxford, PA; brother, Mr. James R. Meehan (Ruth) of Woodbury, CT; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews hold dear the legacy she leaves behind. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, 26 Dodgingtown Rd., Bethel, CT Friday at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Bethel.
