Lynn Dexter Obituary

Lynn Dexter of Bethel, CT, passed away at home on January 26, 2023.  Born November 19, 1942 in Flushing, Queens to the late Charles and Dorothy Robbins, Lynn attended Queens College and met Fordham Ram, Roger, “Sunday that Summer” in Long Beach, NY where her family had a summer home.  They got married and lived out their vows for 55 fruitful years.

Together they raised their four children in a home filled with love, laughter, barking dogs and memorable celebrations.  She was inspired with a sense of family unity, and nothing meant more to her than having her family all together.  Her joy for gathering loved ones sparked many a fancy feast, sing along, storytelling, and good time. The ocean called to her and her fondest memories were of family vacations on Cape Cod and Long Beach Island.

Lynn will always be remembered for her keen sense of humor, selfless generosity, and genuine warmth.  She remained active, proudly attending all of her children and grandchildren’s sporting, church, drama, and dance milestones.

Lynn is survived by her husband Roger and daughters Danielle Bournos (Andrew) and Caryn Kutzy (Roger), and son Ryan Dexter (Amy). She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren, a great grandson, and several greatly loved nieces and nephews and dear relatives.

In addition to some beloved family, she was predeceased by her cherished son, Rod.

The family will receive friends at the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Ave., Bethel, CT on Monday, 1/30 from 4-7pm. https://www.hullfuneralservice.com/
