Linda Sue Krueger, age 64, of Danbury died Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Danbury Hospital, after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of James E. DuBrava.
She was born in Des Moines, Iowa, September 9, 1956, daughter of the late Kenneth Harold Krueger and Ellen Arlene (Loan) Krueger. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a BA in Spanish and Education and the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a Masters in Education.
For 18 years, Señora, (a revered reference of her by her students), was the Spanish Teacher at Menomonie High School in Menomonie, WI and then later was the Talent Portfolio Director for the Coca Cola Company, until her retirement.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her stepdaughter: Katrina (DuBrava) Barrera of Lisbon, CT; Stepson in law Edward “Pete” Barrera of Lisbon, CT; step-granddaughter: Esme R. Barrera of Lisbon, CT; sisters & brothers: Beverly K. Merritt of Fremont, NE, Randy L. Krueger of Windsor Heights, IA; sister-in-law: Pamela R. Krueger of Scottsdale, AZ; brother -in-law: Ken DuBrava of Ansonia, CT; sister-in-law: Vivian DuBrava of Ansonia, CT.
She is also survived by nieces and nephews: Jeremy M. Krueger of Des Moines, IA, Jordan M. Krueger and his wife Alison of Bondurant, IA, Angela Schmidt of Des Moines, IA, Ashley D. Krueger-Vachal of Phoenix, AZ,; great nieces and nephews: Amelia Bergman, Alyana “Alli” Vachal, Anna Vachal all of Phoenix, AZ, R.W Schmidt and Norah Schmidt of Des Moines, IA, Kenley Krueger, Kamden Krueger, and Calvin Krueger all of Bondurant, IA; Steven DuBrava and his fiancé Shari Kay Freda of Milford, CT.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers: Michael “Mike” L. Krueger and Gregory “Greg” A. Krueger; and nephew: Cole A. Krueger.
