Judith Ann (McGehee) Otis

Judith McGehee Otis passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at 77 years old.

Judy was born March 6, 1946, in Washington, DC to the late Martha and John McGehee.  She grew up in Virginia but spent most of her life in Bethel, CT, Southbury, CT, and Newmarket, NH.

Family was always at the center of Judy’s life. She was the beloved wife, best friend, and companion of Stephen Otis. She was a loving mother and cherished her four children: Greg Otis (Kate Wicklund Otis) of Brookfield, CT, Jeff Otis (Heidi Sande Otis) of Salem, NH, Kate Sullivan (Mark Sullivan) of Belmont, MA, and Jim Otis (Nicole Inguanti Otis) of Newtown, CT.  “Grammy” adored spending time with and spoiling her ten grandkids: Mary Kate, Nolan, Mark, Kyle, Claire, James, Emme, Daniel, Austin, and Sarah. Judy loved her brothers John McGehee (Jane McGehee), the late Robert McGehee (Anne McGehee), and her many nieces and nephews.

Judy was a caring and loving mother and friend, whose warmth and kindness touched everyone she met.  Judy will be missed by many and shall live on through everlasting memories. Rest easy Mom, Grammy, Judy -- you have left your mark, and we are all the better for it.
