Joyce Barno DeShay,74, beloved wife of Bruce DeShay of Bethel, passed away on September 13, 2021 at Danbury Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Herbert) Barno and born in Binghamton, NY on September 12, 1947.
Before retiring in 2013 she worked as a secretary/receptionist at Solar Electric in White Plains, NY.
Joyce enjoyed spending time with her family and was a loving mother and grandmother. She had a great sense of humor, always greeted everyone with a smile and helped when she could. Her qualities of kindness, sensitivity and generosity will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her husband of 53 years, Bruce, she leaves four children, Michael and his wife Jamie of Niceville, FL; Jeffrey and his wife Angel of Cranberry Township PA, Derek and his wife Tammy of Newbury, NY and Brett and his wife Laura of Newtown CT. She is also survived by as her sister Marie Koch of Johnson City, NY; sister-in-law Patricia Barno of Binghamton, NY; brother in law David DeShay and wife Christine of Stamping Ground, KY as well as her five grandchildren Emma, Bryce, Riley, Fiona, and Tyler and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother James Barno and grandson Dylan DeShay.
