Joan Gail (Larson) Mahoney

Joan Gail Mahoney age 80 of Ridgefield passed away Tuesday December 4, 2018 at Candlewood Valley Health and Rehab Center, New Milford, CT. She is the wife of Cornelius F. Mahoney.

Joan was born June 22, 1938 in Stamford, CT, a daughter of the late Walter and Dorothy (Buttree) Larson. She was a graduate of Stamford High School and attended nursing school at Saint Vincent's Hospital. Later she worked at Ridgefield Savings Bank and  in the accounting department of a moving company. In 1958 she met and married her loving husband Cornelius and moved from Stamford to Ridgefield in 1961.

In addition to her husband of 66 years, Joan is survived by four children, John Mahoney of Woodbridge, VA, Brian Mahoney of Huntsville AL, Linda Carlson of New Milford, CT and Michael Mahoney of Alton Bay, NH.; six grandchildren, Kimberly and Matthew Carlson, Michael, Kelly, Ellen and Michael Mahoney.
