Georgette Y. (Renaud) Brown

Georgette Y. Brown age 96, died peacefully at home in New Canaan, CT on January 26, 2021.

Up until a few years ago, Georgette was a life-long resident of Danbury, CT where she raised six children with her husband, Gilbert H. Brown, an educator. Gilbert predeceased Georgette in 1994. Georgette was born on February 20, 1924 in New Britain, CT to the late Ernest Renaud and Dora (Tardiff) Renaud.

Georgette is survived by five of her children: William Schongalla III of Burton, Michigan, Lynn D. Brown of Danbury, CT, Keith Brown and his wife, Diane of Southbury, CT, Heather M. Brown Olsen and her husband Magnus Olsen of New Canaan, CT and Drew B. Brown  and his wife Pam, of Danbury, CT. Georgette was predeceased by her son Gilbert M. Brown in 2016. Georgette is also survived by six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Hull Funeral Service, Danbury, is in charge of arrangements. There are no calling hours. The family will announce a memorial service in the spring, with burial at the Ridgebury Cemetery, in Ridgefield, CT. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
