Frederica Louise (Vallee) Macauley, age 82, of Bethel, CT died at Danbury Hospital on Monday, April 17, 2023.
She was born in Danbury, CT, March 15, 1941 daughter of the late Frederick Samuel Vallee, Sr. and Georgia Louise (Elwell) Vallee. She lived in Patterson, NY as a child before moving to Bethel where she remained the rest of her life.
Frederica was a retired assembler of motherboards for computers and also had worked in the Jewelry Department of Filene’s. She loved potted plants and gardening, her cats, crocheting, knitting, needle point and loved to color and draw. She also enjoyed ice skating and camping.
She is survived by 3 daughters: Tammy Ann Macauley of Bethel, CT, Pamela Annette Macauley of Brookfield, CT, Samantha Ann Macauley-Ascoli and her husband Kevin of Warren, RI; 2 brothers: Lewis E. Vallee and John E. Vallee and his wife Christine; Sister-in-law Cheryl Vallee; 4 grandchildren: Brandon Cooper, Kailey, Kyle and Kendra Ascoli as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers: George, Albert and Frederick and sister: Susan Johns.
Services will be private. There are no calling hours. The Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Ave., Bethel, CT is handling arrangements.
