Eleanor (O'Shea) Taylor

Eleanor Taylor, of Bethel, CT died at her home on January 7, 2021.

Eleanor was beautiful inside and out. She grew up in Danbury, CT, the daughter of James O’Shea & Bridy O’Sullivan O’Shea. She was the wife of Don F. Taylor and mother to Susan and Sandy. She also leaves behind her sister Anne Binnie and was predeceased by brother James J. O’Shea, Jr.

She spent the rest of her life in Bethel, where she enjoyed skiing, tennis, reading, a perfect hair day, good wine, animals of all shapes and sizes and a yummy dessert to top it off.

She adored her Don for 65 plus years, raised two beautiful daughters, Susan and Sandy and lived a long life for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Even when Parkinson’s was breaking her down physically, her heart triumphantly stayed with us.

The Taylor, Smith, Reyneke, Bassett, Binnie and Silcox families lost their Ellie, but her legacy of unconditional love will live on.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Ski Lodge at Thunder Ridge Ski Slope at a later date.
