Egon Heinrich Perrefort passed away peacefully recently at the age of 85 while surrounded by his beloved family. He was a respected member of the community and a plumbing contractor who was known for being a hard worker who took pride in getting the job done right. More than anything, Egon loved spending time with his family.
Egon also enjoyed spending his time outside, including taking care of his lawn and vegetable garden. He also enjoyed spending his summers camping with his family along Cape Cod and international travel. He particularly looked forward to visits back to his home country of Germany, where he would take long hikes with his brothers through the countryside. Egon enjoyed singing and always had a smile on his face. He and his wife Ursula were married on May 7, 1965, and immigrated to the United States on May 11, 1965.
He is predeceased by his parents, his brothers; Helmut, and Karl-Heinz. His memory is being kept in the hearts of his wife, Ursula Perrefort, his sons; Nick Perrefort and his wife Roxanne, Patrick Perrefort and his wife Maria, and Dirk Perrefort and his wife Jessica, as well as his brother Klaus Perrefort. There are eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren who miss their Opa dearly.
Family will be accepting friends during a wake that will be held at the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Avenue in Bethel on Nov. 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Regional Hospice of Fairfield County, 30 Milestone Road, Danbury CT 06810.
