Edith E. Janesky, of Great Plain Rd., Danbury passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2021 at her home.
She was born on July 28, 1927 in Mount Vernon, NY, daughter of the late Charles E. and Florence (Olson) Janesky. A lifelong Danbury resident, she was a member of St. James Episcopal Church and a 1945 graduate of Danbury High School. She retired as a Training Instructor from the Southern New England Telephone Company after 37 years of service and was a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
Edith enjoyed gardening, music, reading, travel, UCONN women’s basketball and her friends and family. She also enjoyed the many winters she spent in Florida.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Robert. She is survived by her nephew: Karl and his wife Rosemarie Janesky of Guilford, CT, many cousins, a special friend: Kathy Farrell and a special friend and neighbor Arlene Grant.
A Graveside service will be held at the Wooster Cemetery, Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 1:00 PM. Attendees should gather directly at section 23 of the cemetery. There are no calling hours.
