Dorothy A. (Fry) Sutton

Dorothy Anna (Fry) Sutton, age 94 of Bethel, CT, wife of the late Robert B. Sutton, Sr. passed away peacefully on May 20, 2022 at her home, which she made with her son Richard and his wife Debra for the past 27 months.

She was born in Danbury, CT February 18, 1928 to the late Arthur and Susie (Lang) Fry. A lifelong Bethel resident, Dorothy was a graduate of Bethel High School, Class of 1945. After her marriage to Robert in August 1948, Dorothy was employed by Feinson’s Women’s Store in Danbury until its closing in 1969. She worked at Arrowhead in Bethel for a short time until they moved, and then worked for Amphenol in Danbury until her retirement in 1994.

Dorothy is survived by her sons: Robert B. Sutton, Jr., Richard Sutton (Debra) all of Bethel; brothers: William Fry (Ida), Richard Fry of Danbury and grandson: George Sutton, Jr.

Besides her parents and husband, Dorothy was predeceased by her son: George Sutton, Sr., sisters: Eva and Nellie and brother John.

The family would like to thank Marita, Ashley and Marga of Visiting Angels along with the staff of Seasons/Accent Hospice Care, especially Sarah of Accent Care.

The family will receive friends at the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Ave., Bethel, Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 at which time the procession will depart to Elmwood Cemetery, Bethel for a graveside service at Noon.
