Daniel M. Schofield, Sr.

 Daniel Martin Schofield Sr. 67, of Bethel, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday Oct 25, 2022, and is now reunited with his beloved son Scott Allan Schofield Sr.

  Dan was born on May 23,1955 in Danbury CT to the late Wilbur Sr. and Doris (White) Schofield. He was a lifelong resident of Bethel and was employed at Newtown Power Equipment for 27 years until recently retiring.

  Dan was committed to several organizations such as The Heritage Foundation, Judicial Watch, and Second Amendment Foundation. He was also a very proud lifetime member of the NRA. Danny was an extremely devoted republican and passionate Trump supporter.

   In his younger years he really enjoyed hunting and fishing. Later in life he became more of an avid gardener. Dan was a huge ham radio enthusiast and loved to show off his equipment. Danny could build and fix just about anything and shared his knowledge with his two sons. 

  Dan is survived by his best friend and wife of 23 years JoAnn. His son Daniel Jr. (Laura), daughter Lisa (Mark) Stone. The mother of his children and previous wife Judy. His stepson Kevin MacAulay. He was predeceased by his sister Amy Clark. He is survived by his sister Susan Schofield, brother Wilbur Jr. (Sandy) Schofield, and brother Steven Schofield. Along with 11 beautiful grandchildren Danny also had 7 great grandchildren. Dan also leaves behind many close cousins and several nieces and nephews.

  A celebration of life will be held at the Dodgingtown Fire Department Hall, 55 Dodgingtown Rd., Newtown, CT 06470, Saturday Oct 29, 2022, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM
