Cynthia E. (Dilley) Tilles

Cynthia Ellen Tilles, 71, of Bethel, CT, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2023 after a 15-month battle with colon cancer.

Cindy was born on March 23, 1952 to Thomas and Martha Dilley, in Wilkes-Barre, PA. After graduating from E. L. Meyers High School, she began her life-long career in nursing after graduating from the Reading, Pennsylvania Hospital School of Nursing and went on to be a Staff Nurse at Greenwich Hospital in Connecticut for many years. Later in her career she was a Primary Care Nurse at Ability Beyond in Bethel, CT for over 27 years. She retired in 2022 after a long tenure of providing care to countless people and making great friends with co-workers, enjoying plenty of laughs and good times.

Cindy’s life-long friends would remember her as sweet, funny, caring, and always there to lend a helping hand. Every summer, Cindy and her family would be found at their favorite vacation spot on the Jersey Shore, Long Beach Island. Cindy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and is survived by her husband, Thomas, her two children Bradley and Kerrie, son-in-law Sean and grandson Drew, brother Scott and his wife Ginger of North Carolina, and brother Brent and his wife Lynn of Connecticut.

Please join her family and friends to celebrate her life at her memorial service on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bethel United Methodist Church located at 141 Greenwood Avenue.
