Curtis Carnell Daniels, Jr.

Curtis Carnell Daniels Jr., 65, of Danbury passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Silver Springs Care Center. He was the son of Addie Pearl (Little) Daniels and the late Curtis Daniels Sr.; born on May 30, 1956 in North Carolina.

Carnell attended Danbury Public Schools and graduated from Danbury High School, where he excelled in basketball. In his early years, basketball was the center of his life. He loved the game and wanted to go professional. He also served in the United States Air Force. Our family honors him as a veteran.

Carnell was predeceased by his father Curtis Daniels Sr. He leaves behind his mother Addie Pearl (Little) Daniels; brothers, Jeffery Daniels, Craig Daniels, and Eric Daniels; sisters, Sandra Daniels, Angela Daniels, Cynthia (Daniels) Carvalho, and Travelyn (Daniels) Stallings; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The Daniels Family would like to give a special thanks to Brenda Gilbert, Robert Toran, Dallas Gardner, and Taliferro Brown for their love and support of Carnell throughout the years. We would also like to thank extended family and friends for your prayers and heartfelt condolences.

Services are being held at the Mount Pleasant AME Zion Church located on 69 Rowan Street in Danbury, CT. Visitors are welcome Friday, October 15, 2021 from 10:00am to 11:00am. The funeral then begins at 11:00am. 

His burial will follow at Wooster Cemetery on 20 Ellsworth Avenue, also located in Danbury, CT.
