Timothy R. MableJanuary 22, 1940 ~ January 5, 2018 (age 77)
Timothy Raymond Mable, age 77, of Bethel, CT died unexpectedly on Friday January 5, 2018. He was the husband of Melissa Ann (Knotter) Mable.
He was born in Greenwich, CT, January 22, 1940, son of the late Theodore Raymond and Jessie Elizabeth (Matheson) Mable. Tim was raised in Springdale, CT and graduated from Stamford High School in 1958. He served with the Air Force, serving in post-war Korea, Utah and Colorado. Upon completing his service in 1962, Tim worked for the next forty years in Manufacturing / Production in Stamford, Danbury and Norwalk.
Tim was an Auxiliary State Trooper for the Connecticut State Police from 1974-2018. He worked in patrol, as an instructor and in an administrative capacity until his death. He was a member of the Danbury Korean War Veterans and the Joseph W. Tarrant American Legion Post 100 in Bethel. He was also active in the American Legion Boys’ State program from 1988-2018. He will always be remembered as a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather and Friend.
In addition to his wife of 49 years, he is survived by his son: Ethan T. Mable and his wife Barbie of New Fairfield, CT; sister Pamela Miller (Arnold) of Goshen, CT and his grandson: Gregory Theodore Mable. He was also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Ave., Bethel, CT Friday, January 12, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Burial with military honors will follow at Wooster Cemetery, Danbury, CT.
The family will receive friends at the Bethel Funeral Home, Thursday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
