Salvatore A. Maniscalco

Salvatore “Sal” Anthony Maniscalco, age 72 of Bethel, CT died Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Danbury Hospital. He was the husband of Theresa (Herceg) Maniscalco.

He was born in St. Louis, MO, November 27, 1945, son of the late Salvatore and Donna Hazel (Maher) Maniscalco.        

Sal was happiest surrounded by his family and friends, watching sports and just having good conversations. He loved his sports as he spent many years playing softball and golf, as well as coaching which also led into him being a devoted fan at his grandkids ball games to then owning his own sports bar restaurant for 13 years. Prior to owning his restaurant, he was an Insurance Agent for Met Life for over twenty years.  Being in Bethel for over 40 years, he was a devoted Bethelite, always involved in something around town, from The Bethel Jaycee’s, to the Men’s/Coed Industrial Softball League, to Bethel Girls Softball League and Boys Baseball Association just to name a few.

He will always be remembered as a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather and Friend. 

In addition to his wife of 45 years, he is survived by 2 children: Lia Evaristo and her husband Victor, Anthony and his wife Danielle; Grandchildren: Alexander Amaral, Yesenia Evaristo and Bryce Maniscalco.

The family will receive friends at the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Ave., Bethel, CT, Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. Cremation will be at the convenience of the family.
