Roberto E. Auro, age 92, of Danbury, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, July 22nd, 2017 at Danbury Hospital. He was surrounded by his loving family. Roberto was the devoted husband of Teresa Ramos Auro. 

Roberto was born on June 7, 1928 in the Philippines, a son of the late Bibiano and Melitona Auro. As a young man, he served in the military service for 32 years. Roberto later came to America to join his only daughter, Virginia Auro-Ampeloquio in 1989. During his lifetime, Roberto lovingly touched the lives of many, he was a member of the Filipino American Association of Western CT, an active parishioner of St. Peter's Church, and a devoted father and grandfather, who enjoyed taking care of his daughter, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. 

Roberto is survived by his daughter, Virginia Auro-Ampeloquio and her husband, Manuel Ampeloquio Sr. of Danbury; 5 grandchildren: Marc, Manuel II, Trisha, Chelsea, and Edmond; 4 great grandchildren: Mila, Manuel III, Aiden & Ariana; and only surviving sister, Elizabeth Auro Gonzales of San Jose, CA. 

The family will receive friends at the Hull Funeral Home, 60 Division St., Danbury, CT Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated in St. Peter’s Church, 104 Main St., Danbury, Saturday morning, July 29th at 9:00 AM. Burial will follow the Mass at St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury, CT
