Richard Irving Wagner, age 76, of New Milford, CT formerly of Danbury died Thursday, January 12, 2017 at his home. He was the Husband of the late Lynn (Jones) Wagner who died in 1987.

He was born in Brooklyn, NY, February 1, 1940, son of the late Irving and Claire Wagner. He worked in the mail room at Union Carbide in Danbury for many years. Richard loved to play chess. He owned tropical fish and enjoyed taking care of them. He was very proud to have his driver’s license and be independent.

Richard is survived by nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Wooster Cemetery, Danbury, CT Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Friends are invited to gather directly at section 2 of the cemetery for the service. There are no calling hours.
