Patrick Troy, age 48, of Redding, CT, died of a heart attack on Monday, October 22, 2018 at Danbury Hospital. He was the beloved father of Sadie Troy and husband of Alisa Masson.
He was born in Danbury, CT on September 23, 1970, son of Patricia (Henvy) Delaney of Bethel and the late Michael C. Troy. He grew up in Bethel, graduating from Bethel High School as salutatorian. He received his B.S. in Marketing from Florida State University and his M.B.A. from New York University, Stern School of Business. He worked for many years in Information Technology at companies including GE Capital and Orbian before starting his own business as a Private Investigator. In recent years, he was a devoted stay at home dad to his daughter and enjoyed volunteering in her classroom. Many children around town counted him amongst their friends and were excited to see him at the playground or parties. Pat was sharply funny and often would have a room full of people in stitches. He was a loyal father, son and husband who would do anything for his family and friends. Above all, he loved spending time with his daughter, especially kicking around the soccer ball with her and teaching her how to beat the claw game at the Sycamore drive-in.
In addition to his wife Alisa, daughter Sadie and his mother Pat and her husband Tom Delaney, he is survived by his brother David Troy and his wife Allene of Sandy Hook, CT.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the RES PTA c/o Redding Elementary School, 33 Lonetown Rd, Redding, CT 06896. Please put "In Memory of Pat Troy" in the memo line.
