Lucille "Lucy" M. (Lembo) Layman

Lucille “Lucy” Marie (Lembo) Layman, age 75, of Danbury, CT died Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Danbury Hospital surrounded by her loved ones.  She was the life partner of Al Carrizo.

She was born in the Bronx, NY, November 7, 1942, daughter of the late Julius and Anna Lembo.  She is survived by her brother Anthony and sisters Rosie and Anna, and predeceased by her sister Ella and husband James Layman.

In addition to her partner and siblings, she is survived by her children James Jr., Lori, Karen, Steven, Julie, Robert and Michael as well as their spouses Margie, Pete, Phil, Melissa and Diana.  As well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren Jen, Christina, Kelly, Ashley, Steven Jr., Katie, Nicole, Tina, Kim, Sam, Dani, Kayla, Jackie, Anne, Sadie, MJ and Abby.

Lucy was a strong, caring and supportive mother and friend.  She loved being surrounded by her family and friends.  She always put the needs of others first and would do anything to take care of the ones she loved.  Lucy enjoyed living lakeside and hosting her family for summer barbeques and holidays.  She enjoyed cooking, gardening, shopping with her daughters and was an avid fan of the New York Yankees.  Lucy spent her time engaging with her family and friends in the activities she loved throughout her entire life. 

The family will receive friends at the Hull Funeral Home, 60 Division St., Danbury, Thursday, March 29, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. A Prayer Service will be held at 5:30 during the calling hours.
