Joseph J. Cats

Joseph John Cats, of New Milford, CT, husband of Sandra Cats, a loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away on August 30, 2018 at age 70.

He was born in Brooklyn, NY to Joseph and Alice (Keene) Cats on October 6, 1947. Joe was employed by DeVoe Insurance before opening Cats Insurance, that became Chamberlin and Cats, Inc, retiring in 2016. He loved spending time with his family and cherished pets. His grandson was his pride and joy.

In addition to his wife of 53 years, Joe leaves his sons: Joseph Cats; Christopher Cats and his wife Heather and grandson: Gabriel. He also leaves brothers: George Cats (Judy), Raymond Cats, Richard Cartolano (Doris); brothers in-law: R. Scott Erwin (Dee), Mal Planz and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 29th, 2018 at ST. Peter’s Masonic Lodge in New Milford from 2:00 to 5:00 PM.
