Helen May (Goodrich) Morris

Helen May Goodrich Morris, age 105, of New Milford, passed away Wednesday September 26, 2018 at Candlewood Valley Care Center, New Milford. She was the widow of James A. Morris.

Helen was born September 16, 1913 in Salisbury Vermont, a daughter of the late Wilbur and Hazel (Douglas) Goodrich. She was a graduate of Middlebury High School, Middlebury VT and the University of Vermont, Burlington. Helen taught in rural schools in Vermont before moving to Connecticut in 1951. She retired from the Nestle Co.in New Milford as a quality control technician.

Helen is survived by three children: Glenn Morris and is wife Barbara of Danbury, Randall Morris and his companion Debbie Faure of Mesa, AZ and Patricia McCarthy of Washington, CT, four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Douglas Goodrich and a sister, Joyce Marshall and her husband Cary, all of Vermont. Helen is predeceased by two brother and a sister.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 29, 2018 in the Colonial Funeral Home 87 PK.LN.RD., New Milford at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow in Center Cemetery, New Milford. Family will receive friends in the Colonial Funeral Home on Saturday from 11:00 am until the time of the service.
