Helen Elspbeth (Smith) Cyr, age 88, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Regional Hospice Center, Danbury. She was the wife of the late Clarence J. Cyr.

She was born in Princeton, ME, April 24, 1929, daughter of the late Ted and Hattie Smith. She and Clarence were married in Maine on June 4, 1949, she was the mother of six children and homemaker most of her married life, later working at the Stony Hill Inn.

She was predeceased by her oldest daughter: Sharon Agati and is survived by her children: Diane Ford and her husband Richard, Maria Cyr, Roger Cyr and his wife Donna, Corale Cyr and JoAnn Douglass. She is also survived by 10 Grandchildren: Ruby, Blake, Rachel, Andrei, Heather, Tiffany, Brian, Raymond and Danielle; 10 Great Grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by all.

The family will receive friends at the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Ave., Bethel, Tuesday, December 26, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary Church, Bethel, Wednesday, December 27, 2107 at 10:00 AM. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery will be private at the convenience of the family.
