Emma Susana (Szanitter) Feulner, 90, a longtime resident of Danbury, passed into Gods hands on Sunday, December 17, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late John “Hans” Feulner.

 Emma was born in Spis Region of Felka, Czechoslovakia on January 26th, 1927, the eldest daughter of Albert and Julia (Greisiger) Szanitter. She came to the United States in 1949, settling in Danbury with her family. She then met her future husband in 1951, Hans Feulner in an English class at Danbury High School. They were married in a double wedding ceremony, with her sister Yoli, on June 26th, 1954 and were together until his passing in 1987.

 She was employed by Davis and Geck in her early years, then devoted her time to raising her children. She then worked for the City of Danbury Public School system as a cook/baker, retiring from the Danbury High School in 1992.

 Emma is survived by her son: John Feulner and his wife Robin of New Milford, CT; daughter: Doris Johnson and her husband David of Reno, NV; a granddaughter: Kiley S. Feulner of New Milford; brother-in-law: Paul Zoellkau of Ormand Beach, FL and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased in death by her devoted husband, caring parents and loving sister Yoli.

 The family will receive friends at the Hull Funeral Home, 60 Division ST., Danbury, Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

 A graveside service will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Tamarack Ave., Danbury, Friday at 11:30 AM. Attendees are invited to gather directly at the cemetery.
