Elsa R. (Diaz) Chardon

Elsa Ramona Diaz Chardon, age 90 of Danbury, CT died Friday, March 1, 2019 at St. John Paul II Center, Danbury.

She was born on July 12, 1928 in Bani, Dominican Republic and immigrated to the United States in April 1970 (in New York City) to provide a better future for her 2 children that she had left behind in Santa Domingo.

She held 2 jobs up until her retirement and was able to raise and send her children to college and help them achieve the American Dream. She was an impeccable and honest woman. She leaves behind the legacy of her extra ordinary honesty.

She is survived by her son: Jose Manuel Veras of Middletown, NY; daughter: Maria Villega of Danbury; brothers and sisters: Josefa Diaz, Jose Diaz, Gladys Lopez, Lourdes Castro, Australia Diaz and Manuel Castillo; seven grandchildren and a great granddaughter: Aria Rose.

 The family will receive friends at the Hull Funeral Home, 60 Division St., Danbury Monday, March 4, 2019, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, make donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
