Dorothy Rose (Winder) Thompson Ferrier, age 92 of New Milford, CT died Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Village Crest Center, New Milford, CT. She was the widow of Samuel W. Thompson, Jr. and  Wallace Ferrier.

She was born in Wapello, Iowa, March 26, 1925, daughter of the late Percy and Nellie (Hammond) Winder. Formerly of Kent and Warren, Dorothy had been a Nurse and Private Piano Teacher.

She is survived by her son: Samuel W. Thompson, III and his wife Andrea Norem-Thompson of New Milford, CT and her daughter Amy Thompson Appleby and her husband Paul of Toronto, Canada. She is predeceased by her son David L. Thompson.

There are no calling hours. Services will be private at a later date.
