Andrew Bratton

Andrew Bratton - (March 23rd 1966 - June 23rd 2020) Aged 54 Years

Andy was born in Grimsby, England in 1966.  He was the second child of Andrew and Theresa and had an older sister Tracey.  Andy had a love for gardening and horticulture from a young age and used to spend his weekends working in a local nursery as he grew up. This love continued throughout his school years and he went to college for horticulture which ultimately led to a career that he loved.

Andy and I married on May 14th 1993 in Glasgow, Scotland and we were blessed with three daughters, Vanessa, Chloe and Kerry.   We uprooted our family and moved to Bethel in February 2010 after finding that we both had a love for the United States and we felt we could offer our kids a better life.  Even though it was hard, we were once again blessed with two grandchildren, Mason and Kaleigh after Vanessa met and married Christopher.

Andy became sick in June of last year and was in hospital from November 9th until his passing.  He fought so hard, endured so much over the last few months and unfortunately didn’t make it to transplant which we had so strongly been hoping and praying for as a family.  His strong Scottish spirit never left him but he was so tired and so very sick that he sadly passed away on Tuesday June 23rd at the age of 54 surrounded by his family.

Andy was a hard working husband, dad, papa, son, brother and uncle, who spent his time either working or at home.  Our hearts are broken and he has left a hole that can never be filled.
