William Benjamin Chuck, Jr., "Bill", of New Fairfield, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 3, 2018, in New Milford Hospital, at the age of 86. He was the husband of the late Lois (Kent) Chuck. Born in Manhattan, NY, a son of William B and Louise (Scholl) Chuck Sr. He was a Korean War Veteran with the United States Navy. He went on to work hard for Dykes Lumber Co. in New York City as well as volunteering for Co A Firehouse in New Fairfield. He served as secretary for 13 years as well. He was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and served as usher for many years. After retirement, he kept busy tinkering with his Lionel train layout, working as a local handyman and enjoying his grandchildren.
Bill is survived by his son, Barry L. Chuck and his wife Tracy of West Lebanon, NY, his daughter, Lori A. Shaw and her husband Mark of New Milford; his Grandchildren: Paul, Jessica, Kimberly, Travis, Christopher and Melissa and three great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his brother Harris Chuck.
