Robert George Braddock, age 85, of Southbury, CT formerly of Bethel, died Thursday December 14, 2017 at his home. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth (Combes) Braddock.

He was born April 29, 1932 in Bronx, NY, son of the late Clarence and Louise (Shanahan) Braddock. He grew up in Larchmont, NY and served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He worked for the phone company in New York and later in Connecticut for nearly 40 years until his retirement. During his time living at Heritage Village, he was involved in various groups, including badminton, bocce, cards and especially the morning coffee group. He enjoyed bowling, golf, watching the Mets and Giants and spending time with his family.

Robert is survived by his sons: Robert C. Braddock and his wife Suellen of Newtown, Stephen J. Braddock and his wife Ila of Danbury, Thomas K. Braddock and his wife Jaclyn of Lincoln Park, NJ; daughters: Susan Parille and her husband David of Danbury, Elizabeth G. McQueen and her husband Kevin of Bridgewater and 10 grandchildren: Caitlin, Kyle, Stephanie, Emily, Ellen, Ryan, Tyler, Matthew, Ethan & Aiden.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels of Western Connecticut, 232 North Elm ST., Waterbury, CT 06702.

A graveside service will be held at St. Mary Cemetery, Bethel, Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 10:30 AM. Attendees should gather directly at cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Ave., Bethel, Monday, December 18, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.
