Marolyn C. (Clark) Beschle

October 11, 1924 ~ September 16, 2017 (age 92) 92 Years Old

Marolyn Beschle of Danbury passed away on September 16, 2017 at Maplewood at Danbury.  She was born on October 11, 1924 in Hartford, the daughter of Clayton and Mabel Hawley Clark.  They moved to Danbury in 1928. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Robert, her granddaughter Danielle Beschle, and her sisters Alma Clark and Jeannette Hoyt.  She is survived by her sons Thomas and his wife Diane Beschle of Clayton NY, and James and his wife Deidra Beschle of Bethel, and her daughter Carolyn and her husband Robert Flynn of New Fairfield. Her grandchildren, Sean Flynn, Jason Flynn, Sara Healey, Adam Beschle,  Bethanie Fagerquist, and Joshua Peck and her great grandchildren Kiya, Robert, Kaitlyn, Annika , and Thomas.

She was an almost lifelong active member of St. James Episcopal Church, involved in many ministries there from teaching church school, to serving on the vestry and Alter Guild, which she did into her eighties.  She was a Cub Scout den mother.  She worked at the Red Cross bloodmobiles also into her eighties. She also helped cook meals for the Dorothy Day Hospitality House.

She was a very talented woman.  She enjoyed painting, knitting, sewing, crocheting, tatting, and quilting to name a few.

Bob and Marolyn’s love of travel lead them throughout the continental Unites States and Alaska.

There will be a memorial service on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 11:00 at St. James’ Episcopal Church, 25 West St., Danbury.

The family would like to thank the staff of Maplewood at Danbury and Regional Hospice for all of their care.
