Ingrid A. (Amundsen) Finney

Ingrid (Amundsen) Finney, age 83 died Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Danbury Hospital. She was the widow of Edward C. Finney.

She was born in Stamford, CT December 31, 1934, daughter of the late Ole Martin Amundsen and Christina (Andreassen ) Amundsen. She attended Greenwich Schools and lived in Riverside until her marriage. She then moved to Stamford and Ridgefield, then to Hendersonville and Saluda, NC, where they spent many happy years. After her husband's retirement, they returned to Danbury to be closer to family.

Ingrid is survived by 3 sons: Edward D. Finney and his wife Judith of Bethel, CT, Andrew M. Finney and Hannah Maxwell and his ex-wife Melanie Williams of Warwick, NY, and Brian T. Finney and his wife Ashley of Los Angeles, CA, and a son in-law Jon Carman of Unity, ME; brothers: Ole Martin Amundsen Jr., Erik Amundsen; sisters: Christine Glitman, Randi Starmer; 6 grandchildren: Christopher Carman, of Brunswick, ME, Meagan Leach, of Belfast, ME, Daniel Finney, of Bethel, CT, Dorothy Finney, of Warwick, NY, Virginia and Jessie Finney, of Los Angeles, CA; one great grandson: Orin Leach of Belfast, ME. She was predeceased by a daughter: Robin E. Carman late of Unity, ME. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.

The family would like to thank the many care givers at Bethel Health Care. Their thoughtfulness was greatly appreciated in her care.

A memorial service will be held at the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Ave, Bethel, CT on Saturday February 17, at 11:30 AM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home preceding the service from 10:30 to 11:30 AM. Burial will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bethel Volunteer Fire department or to the charity of one's choice.
