Welcome to the memorial page for

Georgiana (Tefft) Kobylanski

June 16, 1957 ~ September 1, 2016 (age 59) 59 Years Old

Georgiana Tefft Kobylanski passed away peacefully at home on Thursday at the age of 59, with her husband and sister by her side.

Georgie was born in Hartford, CT, on June 16, 1957, to Joan Tefft (Weldon) and the late George Tefft. She grew up in Middletown, CT, and moved to Bethel with her husband Dan in 1985. She was a 1975 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School where she was a member of the high school band and majorette squad captain. She worked for 14 years at Danbury Hospital in the Corporate Healthcare fitness center at the Union Carbide complex in Danbury where she established many close and endearing friendships.

Georgie’s greatest joys were shopping with her family, spending time with her grandchildren, and taking rides along the shore with her husband in their little sports car. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Dan Kobylanski, her mother Joan Weldon (husband Charlie) of Old Saybrook, CT, her brother Rick Tefft (wife Jan) of Seakonk, MA, her sister Holly Sepowski (husband Steve) of Chester, CT, and her brother Carl Tefft (wife Sheila) of Middletown, CT. She is also survived by her mother-in-law Arlene Kobylanski and sisters-in-law Gail Eason, Janice Milbrath, Lynn Saitta, and Laura Kobylanski. She deeply loved her stepchildren (Dan Kobylanski III and his wife Ioana of Manchester, CT, and Dana Keenan and her husband Pete of Coatesville, PA) and cherished her 6 grandchildren (Alex, Anna and Andy Kobylanski, and Jack, Lily and Wyatt Keenan).

Calling hours and final remembrance gathering will be held at the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Ave, Bethel, CT, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Sunday, 9/4/16. A gift of flowers may be sent directly to the funeral home.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Oncology staff of Danbury Hospital for their loving and compassionate care of Georgie over the past 12 years. Georgie loved them all and was always treated as a member of the family.
