Donald Arthur Schwartz, of Southbury Connecticut, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2017, at the Danbury Hospital following a brief illness. Donald was the son of Arthur and Helen Krayer Schwartz.  He was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1931. He graduated from Admiral Farragut academy and attended Duke University.  After serving in the Air Force during the Korean War he graduated from New York University.

Active in business, he was President of the New York City Rotary for many years.  Donald was CEO and President of Medallic Art Company, Commercial Publishing Company and other businesses in Danbury and later Maryland. He also was an avid Golfer and enjoyed sailing and travel.

Donald leaves behind his wife of 34 years: Carol Vigeant Schwartz.  He is also survived by his Son: William Schwartz and daughter: Karen Schwartz Parker, along with three step children: J. Rick Cipot, Paula Cipot Schmidt and Jody Cipot. He also leaves 11 grandchildren.

 A private family burial service will be held in the fall at the convenience of the family.
