Donald Henry Coté, Sr., age 79 of Bethel, CT, died peacefully Saturday, May 13, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Sadie (Albin) Coté.

He was born in Van Buren, Maine, on September 11th, 1937, son of the late Almedy (Roy) and Leo Coté, along with his siblings Arthur and Roger. He owned his own business, Wilton Plumbing and Heating, built many houses in the Bethel area, and was a member of the National Guard from 1960 as a Specialist, until his honorable discharge in 1966. He is predeceased by his parents.

In addition to his wife of 57 years, he is survived by his brothers, Arthur Coté, of Van Buren, Maine, and Roger Coté of Bethel, three sons, Donald Jr. and his wife Coleen and children, Jennifer and Nicholas, David and his wife Kathy and child, Cooper, and his youngest son, Daniel, along with nephew, Brian and his wife Tracey and child Haley, and multiple nieces.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary Church, Bethel, CT, Thursday morning at 10:00. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Bethel, CT.

The family will receive friends at the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Ave., Bethel, Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.
