Chris Daniel Bruzinski, age 45, of Redding, CT passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Danbury Hospital after an accident at work. 

Chris was born January 19, 1972 in Bridgeport, CT son of Barbara (Kochis) Bruzinski of Redding and the late Edward Bruzinski. He graduated from Joel Barlow High School in 1990.  Chris went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Sacred Heart University and then received his Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Rutgers University.  Chris was an avid outdoorsman, skilled with his hands, deep with his thoughts, passionate with his emotions and fiercely loyal.  He never hesitated to help a friend or family member in any way he could.  His devout Catholic faith often led him to put the needs of others before his own. Chris never was drawn by the attraction of material possessions and valued friends and especially family above all else. 

Donations in lieu of flowers can be made in Chris’s name to the Dorothy Day Hospitality House in Danbury or The Wounded Warrior Project.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son: Daniel Bruzinski and daughter Ann Marie Bruzinski both of Watertown; brothers: Mark Bruzinski and his wife Pamela of Redding, Paul Bruzinski and his wife Giselle of Wexford, PA., and Joel Bruzinski and his wife Ashleigh of Sherman, as well as a bountiful number of nieces and nephews that Chris loved to tease, mentor and enjoy.

The family will receive friends at the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Ave., Bethel, CT Tuesday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Partick’s Church, 169 Black Rock Turnpike, Redding, Wednesday morning at 11:00 AM. Attendees are invited to gather directly at church for the Mass. Burial will follow at Redding Ridge Cemetery, Redding.
