Carol (Mulvin) Richardson

Carol Ann (Mulvin) Richardson, age 79, of New Milford, CT died Friday, March 9, 2018 at Danbury Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Robert E. Richardson.

She was born July 23, 1938 in Union City, PA, daughter of the late Dale and Grace (Schadeli) Mulvin.  She worked for many years at Winchester Electronics in New Milford.  She was a  member of the First Congregational Church. After her retirement Carol was actively involved in service to New Milford, serving as president of the local chapter of AARP and active in the Senior Center and TRIAD.  She was also a member of The Chapel Stitchers Prayer Shawl Ministry.

Carol or “MeMe” as she was fondly called by many, was a very loving mother and grandmother, survived by her sons: Robert J. “Skip”  Richardson of Morris, CT, William J. Richardson of New Milford, CT; Daughter: Debi L. Foshay and her husband Jeff of Danbury, CT; Grandchildren: Kaitlin Foshay of Wallingford CT, Stephanie Foshay of Elmsford NY and Lilly Richardson of New Milford CT, Sisters: Barbara Swanson of SC and Sylvia Munsee of PA  Brother: Robert Mulvin of PA and nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her beloved dog Sandy.

A memorial gathering will take place at The Colonial Funeral Home, 87 Park Lane Rd., New Milford, Tuesday, March 20, 2018 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.
