Joanne S. Moody

Joanne Silliman Moody, age 85, of New Fairfield, CT, passed peacefully on Friday, July 13, 2012 at Glen Hill in Danbury. She was the loving wife of Harry Arthur Moody. Up until her death she lived in a house they built in New Fairfield on land that was a portion of Harry's ancestral farm. Joanne was born in Yonkers, NY, May 15, 1927 and was the daughter of the late Attorney Kenneth G. Silliman and Esther (Erickson) Silliman.

Joanne was married to Harry for 66 happy years and together they shared a passion for gardening & travel. Joanne attended UCONN and was very involved in the New Fairfield Congregational Church.

She is survived by her loving daughter: Lee Hammond Moody and her husband Walter Konior of Durham, CT; her son Mark Silliman Moody of CT and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her son Paul Disbrow Moody in 2001 and her sister Patricia Silliman Kearney in early 2012.

Joanne will be very much missed by family and friends for her kind and loving personality.

Burial of her ashes will take place in the Disbrow family plot in Mountainview Cemetery, New Fairfield, Monday July 23, 2012 at 2:00 PM. There are no calling hours. Hull Funeral Service, Danbury is handling arrangements.
